EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Sustainable Chemical Technologies: A Systems Approach launches in September

We are excited to announce the launch of the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Sustainable Chemical Technologies: A Systems Approach this September.

Working in close collaboration with iCAST, this CDT aims to train 70 PhD scientists and engineers to adopt a whole systems approach in the development and implementation of sustainable chemical technologies. It seeks to address the critical need for skilled experts and future leaders to tackle pressing sustainability challenges. The CDT research themes are:

  • Sustainable molecules
  • Sustainable materials
  • Sustainable processes
  • Digitalisation
  • Environmental technologies
  • Synthesis

In partnership with iCAST, the CDT will offer students opportunities for networking, collaborative research, and exposure to real-world sustainability practices.

iCAST members can engage with the CDT in various ways, such as through:

  • training activities
  • collaborative research projects
  • creative events such as Crucibles
  • internships

For more information on how to get involved with the CDT, please email CDT Manager Amanda Crowe at akc61@bath.ac.uk.
