In celebration of Swindon Heritage Open Day this year, we were delighted to have welcomed members of the public back to the iCAST Creative Hub on Saturday 20th September.
The theme for this years Open Day was Architecture and we were fortunate enough to have Sally and David Hewins, who were the architects involved in the renovation, on site to speak to members of the public about the project and samples of original building materials along with some modern replacements were on display.
Heritage Open Days give people the chance to look around some of Swindon’s oldest structures and discover their history through guided tours, expert talks, photo and art exhibitions, and many other activities, and are an opportunity to discover how these buildings are used in contemporary times.Â
